E21 hood & trunk roundel logo emblem thingies

After Tom's Q here's some info as we did some digging on the Dutch forum recently. Nowadays BMW supplies flat plastic bonnet logo's as standard, but for practically the same money you can get a high quality steel based example with some relief. They recently reintroduced them and I fitted one immediately!

Available models (front):
Old school metal with relief: P/N 51 14 5 480 181
Flat plastic replacement for E21, E30, etc: P/N 51 14 8 132 375
Latest version for F10, F30 etc is more flat and doesn't have the pins anymore, has adhesive tape on the back: P/N 51 76 7 288 752

For the trunklid there's no old school version sadly, only one version for the rear and that one's flat, P/N 51 14 1 872 328

I've just rang my local dealer who says that part number is now obsolete - I tried describing the item but they were of no help. Can anyone confirm that this part is again no longer available?
