Petrolicious E21 Baur article

Spotted this article. The writer is a prat (article is littered with inaccuracies & mis-informed opinions) but they've found a tidy 323 to photograph.
E21 Baur
He keeps saying it's not a very good 'convertible' - duh! that's because it's a cabriolet
He's only ever seen a 323 Baur - he mustn't have looked very hard!
He doubts drivers can see over the folded roof - either he's never sat in one or he's a real shortarse!
He thinks it looks like it's wearing a hat! Not sure why - it has the same profile as the saloon & if he's referring to the colour then the same could be said of any 'convertible'.
Like I said, he's a bit of a prat

Well agree and the car isn't a minter either but hey, we we can be a bunch of over critical monsters anyway. Good thing is the recent attention for E21's, and Baur in particular in this case. And in BMW Car lol, as they just published their 3rd or 4th E21 article this year. No compaints at all and car's shouldn't all be museum pieces, they are made for driving!

The author seemed to think the e21 baur was the only one (obviously he'd never seen the e30 TC2), but in a comment / response to the article it was pointed out there was even an e36 TC4! I never knew that one existed!

Not forgetting the still-born TC3 (allegedly space-framed with an M20 2.5).
I knew about the TC4 but have never seen one in the metal either.
I always thought the E24 6 series should have been Baur'd - although other companies did a few conversions as in gazzab1978's sig (was that Ron Inskip's old car?).
I did harbour the urge for an XJS SC but I've missed my chance. They went from being the least desirable XJS (thus the cheapest) to one of the most sought-after almost over night.

Nice! all white doorframes and rubbers, 6 cillinders. Don't think its as solid as a 2 door.
