Hi I was driving along today and suddenly wouldn't go into gear properly and the clutch pedal is hard when at the bottom of travel, fluid is ok master moves and no leaks visible, clutch was replaced recently when we did the manual conversion,it hardly goes in reverse, and feels like there is no biting point almost,it was very sudden and was driving and smooth on the clutch up until it happened it was all very sudden, any idea what it may be? think I'm going to have to remove the gearbox to see which I plan to do tomorrow

It's the slave cylinder, don't start just taking the box off yet.

More likely a faulty master cluch cylinder.
A faulty slave cylinder would leak fluid. (in bellhousing )
A blown seal in the master cylinder won't leak fluid at the outside.

Flexi hose collapsed internally?
Does pedal feel improve if you pump a few times?
Could also be bearing sticking on input shaft?

theres no improvement when pumping the pedal, the hydrolic system seems all good so thibking it must be the mechanical bits after the slave cylinder. im thinking bearing on input shaft, bent or damaged clutch fork or possibly a faulty pressure plate..

You know I just remembered... There is on the m10 boxes a little allen bolt on the top of the box (where you cant see it) right before where the shifter linkage goes into the box.
When my car was an m10 I had real trouble getting gears sometimes, mine was very loose and I actually got it stuck in reverse.. You have to take the box off, its not that difficult nor does it take very long..
Whatever you do for the love of god, do not remove that screw! only tighten it down!
