M10 4 speed to 5 speed swap

Hi
I'm getting a m10 5 speed box to replace the 4 speed I have. I know I need a shorter prop shaft as the 5 speed is a bit longer. But does any know what other parts need replacing for it to fit as I will take the bits from the car the 5 speed was in when I go to collect it.
Any help would be appreciated
It's going in a 315 if that makes any difference
Thanks

Not really aside from the box n prop you don't need anything else.

Oil and a new clutch should be replaced if not done already.

The linkage arm is shorter on the 5 speed. Useful to get that bit from the 5 speed box.

The linkage arm and mounting plate so nos 5 and 6 on the page linked above, both are shorter with a 5-speed is the box is longer.

For the same reason the speedo cable is longer on cars equipped with a 5-speed box. However, if your current cable isn't taking any detours it will just be long enough.

Thanks for all the advice.
That should save a bit of head scratching later on.
Thanks again

Acually, my 4 speed plate has extra holes in it that match up with the holes for the shorter 5 speed plate - so you could use that.

I have seen that many shorten their linkage arm (number 6) to make it fit - need to be 151mm.

Yep, I was very excited about the speedo cable, but like you say J; it was just long enough :)
