Single headlight bulbs

Hello,
Forgive me if this has an obvious answer but I want to replace my headlight bulbs with something a little better. I've got the single headlights so I'm guessing they're replaceable?
The current ones aren't cutting the mustard and I constantly feel outgunned by all the modern cars, can anyone recommend an upgrade?
Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack,
I've heard good things about the Osram night breaker plus range. I've never actually used them, but plan to fit them to my current project. They're around £18 on ebay and if you do decide to get them be sure to update the thread and tell us your verdict.

Any idea what type you have in there Jack, the antique ones or halogen H1 or H4?
I use much stronger spec Philips Rally, which is not street legal in most countries (competition use only) but they sure light up the roads and on relatively fresh and well adjusted headlamps they do not blind people. Downside: they do produce more heat so as a preventive measure I turn them off when I don't have driving wind to cool the units like in a traffic jam. Would not apply them on a daily driver

From the sheer dullness of them I'd assume they were the antique ones.
My friend also recommended the night breakers to me so I thought I'd try those (only £14 on ebay). He has them in an old impreza and they are a million times better than what I've currently got.
They should be delivered early next week, I'll let you know what they're like...
