Brake disc alternatives ?

I am looking to give the whole break system an overhaul. More than likely in the guise of the Volvo calipers. However 323 vented discs always seem hard to get hold of and expensive, Is there no alternative out there in the whole of the automotive world that has the same dimensions as the 323 disc!? Corsa D ones are close but the height of the disc is no good. I cant find anything the same. Does anyone know different ?

Yes. But most places I have seen say 'unavailable'. And if there in stock your looking at like 70-80 squid per disc

One of the reasons I ditched the 323i calipers and discs on my 316 and went back to stock. The discs are dirt cheap.

Yeah my thoughts too mate. Might be able to source a pair now, but I can only see them becoming harder to get and more expensive. Stock solids may be staying....
There are other discs out there with similar dimensions, but the height of the disc is way off on these.

If they cannot be obtained, then its custom bells and rotors

One place to try is Brakes International in Rochdale. They supplied me new calipers, discs and fitting kits where most other places were NLA... Give them a ring! Normally gotta hand your old ones back in for reconditioning though.

You can always try to find a local source, but what's wrong with 42,95 a disc? Not exactly the kind of money that gets me in an immediate state of panic.

Its not the price at present, its just what it could end up being if no one manufacturers them anymore in the future.

I was after alternatives, but it seems there are none
