What is the difference belween Fisker and Kahn Astons?

I saw that Fisker was sued by Aston Martin for plagiarism and had to withdraw the Thunderbolt an Aston based version-

and yet Kahn has produced a very similar take of the same car- a DB9.

I don't understand..............
What is going on here other than an unnecessary lawyer feast?

One is a factory car with a bodykit and the other is a bespoke car styled to be made to look like an classic Aston.

I asked James Ruppert the very same question his reply is below:

"Yes that’s an odd one. The Fisker was not surprisingly very Aston.

I do know someone who knows Khan quite well, so I might ask about that.

Lawyers and I speak as an LLB are a nightmare if they get involved with anything.
