New versus old, race versus road, natural aspiration versus turbocharging... many differences but it does show that weight and balance make a lot of difference. Friend of mine competes in the ETCC in an E90 M3 in full GT4 spec and I asked him recently if after driving that, he isn't disappointed driving home in his E30 M3 missing horses and torque. But no, he loves it more that the E90 as its more pure, balanced and challenging. He'd always choose the E30 over any other M3 produced to date. Nice to hear!
