Front suspension Turret / Strut Brace question

Evening All,

Were there differences between the front suspension turrets between different models / years?

I bought a front strut brace from a forum member who had it fitted to their 323 however when I try to fit it to my 1983 316 it does not fit. Were there differences?

The strut brace end pieces have a PCD too small for my turrets (I have got Tein adjustables but they still go through the original holes in the body). One of the end pieces also has a vertical section for mounting a 4th bolt through which my turrets don't have....

My strut towers:

The strut brace from the 323:

Note the other end piece did not have the vertical section.

If anyone can shed any light on this I am very interested as I would like a strut brace for my E21.

Thanks,

Mark

Could this be a rear strut brace?

I thought the rear only had 2 bolt holes.

I'll check tomorrow though just in case....
