I wonder what result would a thicker rear ARB have on my 316
More oversteer?
(the car has already a rear ARB - 16mm I believe- which was optional? Anyway it didn't have rear arb from factory, I had it fitted at a later stage)

Yes more oversteer, and more snappy with it. The limit will be less progressive and you'll need quicker reactions to catch a slide. Proceed with care!

but more dangerous?
would you replace only the rear by a thicker one, without thickening the front one as well?

depends upon spring rates etc

Springs are currently Apex yellow (3.5 cm lowering, not the 6 ones) but new Eibachs waiting when it comes for total suspension replacement (so I guess the ARB would be fitted then)
More exact rates I don't know I' m afraid

suspension is a science, every driver has other specs what he likes and wants from the feedback the car gives him back.
Change until you are satisfied with the driving, some stop at 300€, some at 3000€...there is no recipe for that.
