HELP - wiring issues

Hi,
I am in the process of swapping an M20B27 into my 1982 320/6 and am struggling with wiring issues. Really not my skill set.
I'd like to know if there's anyone in the Milton Keynes area who may be able to help me out.
Connected all the wiring as per the various guides after relocating the battery to the boot. Ran a junction box to feed the starter, permanent live to ECU and fuse box. First fire there was a click from the starter solenoid and now nothing, no lights on dash and only getting 8.6V at the junction box.
