Hello, just joined the forum. Will need to change the brake master on our 323. According to manual, should remove injection and mixture units, but afraid to damage any of that stuff, anybody done this job? Can be done just removing vacum lines. Looks to me the airbox may be in the way, can the airbox be removed from the injection module? Any experience and tips would be greatly appreciated..

I'm wondering if you really have to move that all out of the way or that that just gives you more room to work, I'd give it a try and see where you end up. If you have to remove the injection lines it may be best to pull out the injectors, they are only secured by their rubber o-rings. Make sure to replace the banjo bolt o-rings on the fuel distributor side or high pressure fuel leaks will be likely. May be a good occasion to do a thorough round on gaskets, hoses, etc.

Yes, managed to get to it without removing mixture module / airbox, was very tight, requiring some patience, I can see why manual suggests remove to get some worlspace.., we got to it from underneath..

Waiting for the new master cylinder, while waiting was thinking to remove and paint booster, but cannot get the thing out..? According to workshop manual shoul be remove vacum line and the 4 bolts, but hits strut tower and not far enough out to clear and remove.. anybody got tips on this one, unscrew pedal plate on firewall? According to manual should not be needed..

Progress made, new master cylinder arrived and installed, changed the flexible brake lines, new disks and pads, need to restore front calipers, hopefully tomorrow, then everything will be put back together, bled, and hopefully we will have good brakes..

Nice progress! Pull those front calipers apart, they are likely to have sludge inside you won't get out by just bleeding them.
