Heater fan

Sometimes, when the fan is on at position 1, it will briefly blow at high speed. Is that likely to be the switch ( easy fix ! ) or on the fan assembly ( may have to live with it )

There must be a small additional switch unit responsible for 1,2,3 steps operating with the right speed. Mostly, this item is faulty. You can find it out from the online parts catalog.
