I was playing with some driveshafts and took apart one and came to the same question as you. It's just pressed on. I broke it trying to pry it off and haven't found any replacement until now.

From the pic it seems this boot kit comes with a new cover.

Seems it's GKN that makes the kit, and I am sure you will find a GKN local or semi local to you that can provide a cover.

Or just order it from these guys.

You can order the gaiter kit from Wallothnesch.com mate.

In fact you can order just about most things from them, if your not aware. But that place you found is WAY cheaper for these bits. Cheers.

Sure, just beware of certain confirmed issues, see http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22095

Their NOS is slowly but surely exhausting so many of what they are offering these days is cheap reproduction or stuff they order at the dealer, at a premium

I decided to buy from W&N in the end anyway. Cheers. The postage kind of kills it to the UK.

Any ideas on how to remove the end caps, without damaging the race inside ??

Just carefully pry going around it. Like I said they are just pressed on.
