Re: my 316 m52 swap
Cheers fellas.
Yeah it's booked for its exhaust next week so getting close!
I found that green and black wire that terminates in a plug, but it doesn't seem to be powering my pump?
I had to hot wire it to get it going..?

It lives!! It took a couple of seconds for the fuel to get through then it fired first attempt still a few bits and pieces to sort out but there is some light at the end of the tunnel! Rad and exhaust and then a road test! Excited doesn't even come close!

Re: my 316 m52 swap
Its been a while so thought it was about time I posted an update!
Well I have done 6 thousand miles, two track days and a trip to Holland and the car has been so much fun! its still a work in progress but has been so worth all the work so far
Next big jobs are a stronger rear end and the camber plates, and I have been looking in to ITBS and some better cams...
I was going to get it painted a make it look prettier but for now I much prefer just driving it

Re: my 316 m52 swap
Hahaha yes you managed! Looks like you need a proper front ARB and proper tyres! But other than that, great to see you're on the road and having fun out there!

Re: my 316 m52 swap
Got there in the end hahah.. I have been meaning to post an update for ages but life has been a hectic since the arrival of our second child ect...
I am running Ns2rs that seem to suit it quite well but I am running no rear ARB at the mo and standard front. I didn't build it as a track car but was very surprised how well it handled given the only real chassis mods are coilovers and tyres, I was able to keep pace with a 135i at snetterton.
That said I do need to look into improving this further!

Love it, leave the paint as it is now and enjoy the car as much as possible.

Yep that's the plan... drive the wheels off it! it will get a make over at some point but only after its where I want it to be mechanically
