Trying to find where my car is from

Hello gents.
I have been looking in to my car and have discovered that it has been imported in to nz in 1987.
I have had a look at the vin number and I have found it's basic info. Built 1/10/1980. Manual rhd for the euro market.
Now here is where I'm confused.
Being rhd for the euro market it should be English?? But the Windows all have a rego etched in the Windows.
Ew8307h is what's on the Windows. This is.not a English rego number.
Can any one help with identifying what market it is from
It may be Aussie but I can't find where it was sold new.
I'm happy to send vin details if someone can help.
Thanks in advance.

With your vinnumber you can get the details from BMW Classic. Costs about 110 dollar, to get a certificate containing how the car was first delivered, what options and tho whom the facory delivery was, including adress.

Thanks for that but.that's like 220 nz.dollars and I'm not prepared to spend that just to know where it was first sold.

Most likely to be UK spec indeed, and who knows what was changed on the car over time, like the glass. Perhaps tinted glass was retrofitted? And did they have different glass spec for UK cars back then?

Been looking on the interwebs at plate information.
I have come to the conclusion that it was first registered in Singapore.
Not surprising. Many euro cars are/were imported from there. Bmw were very expensive here so it was not uncommon to import them from Singapore. New an e21 was x2 what a ford escort cost.

I've emailed bmw classic before to get build date information for E9's and 02's and they usually respond with build date, colour and date delivered to which country.
This was the response I got back in 2015:
