Do you have a bit more info?
Maybe it is a 32/36 DGxx you mean? DGEV, DGS, DGES, there are a number of different choke configurations, but the carb is the same.

Hi,
you can use the Weber 32/36 DGEV (with electric choke), so you will be able to re-fit the 12V connection from the previous Pierburg. But your manifold will not fit to the Weber. You need to purchase a manifold from a pre-facelift 316 or 318 to match the carb foot pattern. Including an isolator for the Weber. After successful installation and tuning, you will be happy with it. I can recommend it.
For the late 4 cylinders with Pierburg carbs, there was also a conversion with a Weber 34 DTML available, including a manifold adaptor existing. Wasn't here a member with a DTML?
