Front and rear arb thickness

What were the factory thicknesses of front and rear arb's? And what for after market ones?
My car has 22.5 mm front and 16mm rear. As far as I remember, the rear one was added at a point of time, as it is (was) a 316 so there wasn't any rear arb
However, is the 22,5 mm a factory thickness for the 316? Or should it be thinner, like 21mm ? I don't know if we had this one replaced when the rear one was added

Are you not familiar with etk.cc? Why not just look it up..

Org BMW:
Front: There has never been a 22,5mm or 21mm. There have been 22, 23, and 23,5mm.

Rear: 16mm and 17 mm.

Aftermarket:
The only one I am sure about is ST Suspension 25mm front/19mm rear.

Did Whiteline do one?

Also, Alpina and maybe Hartge did some.

Yup, there were a few different versions depending on engine, suspension package and year. And indeed Alpina and Hartge did thicker ones where the rears were 3 or 4 way adjustable. Rare as hen's teeth!

Ok, mine is probably the 22mm one
(we found it 22,5 but maybe this extra thickness is dirt?? lol)
So I do have the front one from factory, and we added a rear one (16mm) at a certain point of time.

What pros and what cons would a pair of thicker ones have?
