Via Ebay.de I found a bmw 633. I have had contact with the seller, it appears to be that the car is in Greece...
He is offering to send the car and that I only have to pay when the car is delivered. is this a scam?

here is the mail:

Hello,

The price of the car (final price 3,400 EUR) includes all taxes delivery! You just have to pay the amount for the car and nothing extra. It will come with all original documents, the company will handle all the details of the transaction, they will deliver the car to your address!

This company is a neutral party, a company that verifies whether the goods are matched to what sellers the buyer agreed and gives the money to the seller only after the goods are accepted. A friend used this service to buy from China and Europe and was safe and easy.

You will have an inspection period of 4-5 days before you decide. I think is enough. At this time you can check, test and do whatever you want to see that is all ok with the car.
The transfer is made to the third party, not to me, when I start delivery of the car, when you have the tracking number, contract, invoice! If for any reason (the car has hidden damage or it is not like I describe it) you can reject the car, the company will refund you totally, them send the car back to me at my expense . We can also negotiate the price after you see the car.

In the moment we start all I will cancel the deal with the other 2 prospective customers! I want everyone to be safe!

Here is a copy of my ID! The company will contact you by phone and e-mail! In addition, the company will send you invoice and purchase contract in German, because is a german car! I am waiting for your reply! If you have any further questions please feel free to tell me!

Never ever pay upfront and hope you'll get refunded if the car is not like promissed. This is a classic scam indeed. Do NOT pay!

Just walk away, old 633's enough, laying around...

thanks again, good to look further than Holland and Germany.
For now I will first finish my E12 project, but in the (hopefully near) future the E24 will be the car for me.

(that second link is really beautiful, but for now a bit above my budget)
