What does the almighty forum think a fair price is for an original and complete 1973 3.0 E9 CSi?

- there is rust, ofcourse, it`s a 70` BMW
- has been repainted in the past
- orignal panels which look generally OK, some rust ofcourse.
- original interior. Looks ok apart from drivers seat.
- manual gearbox
- mileage unverifed at 132.000km
- sunroof

Runs but no MOT.

Considered to be a full strip down and rebuild.

Haven`t seen it in person.

Tough one without a bunch of pics, even though it has some rust it could be a well kept example, it could also be a complete rustbucket with tons of filler applied with the previous respray. Really need to check it out in real life, preferably see it on a garage stand, and bring a paint thickness meter!

Have a look at my thread on here for our 3.0csi restoration. Was a nice looking car but we knew there would be some rust lurking in a few places. It turned out much worse than expected when we had it dipped.

Body restoration on any E9 is expensive, We are trying to keep it down by doing most of the work ourselves, quotes from garages who know these cars were in the region of £25k (£15k panels & welding & 10k Paint).

Top cars in the uk are now seeing £50k for a 3.0csi (csl's are far more).

Hope this helps
