My 38 year old E21 has a few fairly wide cracks. I contacted Walloth Nesch and they are out of stock and don't know when their next delivery might be. Anyone have a source for a replacement?

No, there are none left. Only options you have:
- get it from a breaker, but most have the same problems as yours
- have it repaired, there are specialized companies
- get it upholstered with leather
- leave it as is
As for #1, most good dashes must be in Europe. So we might be helpfull with shipping or anything. Try to put an add in the dutch section "marktkraam".

I suspected they were no longer available. I can live with them as they are somewhat out of view from the drivers seat. My wife on the other hand....
Thanks for the suggestions. I am tempted to just leave it as is. I am not really relishing the idea of removing it. I am fearful of breaking old fragile connections and damaging parts when trying to re-install.

The 1979 320i that was exported to the U.S. , was the last year before the catalytic converter was installed (if I recall correctly). The '79 has a EGR service light mounted on the right hand side of the dash. Does the European version have this display?
