323i Vacuum Advance Pipes, What Goes Where?

Got the head back on my 323i, so far so good and the top end is now much quieter as well.
I'm not sure I have the vacuum advance pipes the right way around, there's also a thin pipe that goes to the breather which is part of the equation. Can anyone tell me where each one goes, there are three pipes:
1. Pipe from breather
2. Pipe from distributor advance (located at the connection furthest from the distributor body)
3. Pipe from distributor retard (located closest to the distributor body)
There are three possible locations:
1. Top of the throttle body.
2. Bottom of throttle body.
3. Top of inlet manifold close to throttle body.
Any help appreciated, maybe at last I can get the engine to idle and run properly at last?
