Do parts off of a different year work?

I have a 1980, and I'm currently looking at a cheap 1977 to take some interior pieces from and the mirrors, are all of the parts the same through out the years? I need to know quick before it's sold

No, '80 is type 2, '77 is type 1. But lots of type 1 have the type 2 mirrors, plastic in the window corner.

iirc (please correct me if I 'm wrong here) in order to fit late mirrors (plastic cover-optionally electric mirror) to early model doors, the window drivers have to be changed? Otherwise plastic triangle cover trims do not fit inside
(Or someone took my money)

You need to swap the complete interior of the doors incluiding the triangle bit and the rubbers, glass everthing.
