Anyone fitted one?
What does it do?
Im having an issue where my non pas car will be very heavy to steer when stationary but gets lighter when driving ,once at 80mph it becomes very very light so much so i can steer with one finger probably 6 inches 3 either side - this still operates steering as no play but it does make it vague to drive and i have to hold it straight as even wind makes it change lane .
Once into a corner everything stiffens ip

It's not that a steering damper is an optional extra, there is a version of the manual rack that uses a damper, and one without a damper. If you have one with the damper, perhaps a defective one could cause this, but incorrect alignment of the car is more likely.
