Hi,

I'm looking to buy some winter tires for my e21 320 for nice winter days. Does anybody have a good tire/wheel combination for winter? i was thinking plain steel rims, just generic ones, will do for winter. If anyone else has winterized their e21 i'd be happy to hear what tire-rim combo you used.

I don't think that many e21s will be used during winter; especially the Europe ones where salt is used to avoid slippery roads.

But in your case I think it's just like everyday cars: the narrower the tires, the better your grip will be. So I would use the factory setup with 13" steelies.

Thank you for your response! yeah, it's mostly for the insurance. the winters here aren't very harsh, but they still mandate it.

right, yeah that's why i'm thinking 165/70, but they seem to all be out of stock near me atm...
