Hey guys

Just ordered some Volvo 240 callipers to replace my tired standard 318 calipers. I've read the guides and watched videos on the topic so up to speed with all of that. Its just the brake discs I'm struggling with. The 323 appears to have come with 2 different types of brake disc. One from 78 -79 and then another from 80 onwards. Any preference?

I've seen people using MINI discs but just want the most straight forward conversion.

Yeah I've read about the larger Mini discs, but never seen them used in practice myself. The original discs are puzzling me too, for the 323i (vented setup) I only find one type of disc, 255x22mm OEM P/N 34111163125, I also never ran into any fitment issues in the past say 30 years. Same for pads. Both are also available affordable from Ferodo.

Yeah, my 323i is type 1, november 1978. Type 2 under the car. Use the standard 323i vented discs. No probs.

Ok calipers are in hand and the normal 323i discs are on route. Thanks for the input

Those Volvo calipers won't fit straight forward, you'll need to slot the bore for the bolts.

Yes I have seen the videos. Nice and straight forward
