I am about to remove the water pump and wanted to know peoples experience with removing the bolts. It seems like I always manage to break one off in the block due to corrosion. Is there a trick to working the bolts out so as to not break one off? There is no way to get some WD40 or Kroil down in there beforehand. Thank you for your wisdom!

Hit them. Hit them! Hit them with your rhythm stick!
Yeah hit them with a steel hammer while having the spanner on them. Slightly put some force on the spanner while hitting the bolt. That way you break the corrosion.
When you put it back, don’t forget the anti-seize.

Thank you, I will try that. I always slather the anti-seize on them bolts! I am paranoid about rusty bolts. Thanks for the reminder.
