I do have a used ECU in perfect condition for 150€ plus shipping.

BUT

Change your Coolant temperature sensor first (30€).

Check it with a tester in advance if you want: >2500Ohm when cold and 300-600 Ohm when hot.

Also change your spark plugs, cause a defective plug can effect the engine exactly as the problem you're having. Remember that plugs are specifically designed for an exact range of operating temperature.

I'm from rome, italy.
The CTS (coolant temperature sensor) is the one with the blue connector, on passenger site, screwed next to the brown one (this last is the coolant temp sender for the coolant temperature gauge).

Also check: ignition wirings, 1-5 Ohm.

I dont think is an AirFlowMeter (AFM) problem cause it is temperature related, but check also this:

On the AFM male plug counting pins from the radiator, 1-2-3-4, 1-3 is the AFM output for the ECU it should be within the 5-2500 Ohm range, e.g. if it is 600 - 1500 Ohm from flap closed to wide open it's right.
To do this you have to remove the AFM from the airbox and connect a tester to the 1-3 pins. Then you need to push the rotating flap (looks like a door) of the AFM from the stop condition to the max (wide open).

An AFM refurbishing procedure is posted on the FRwilk site http://www.frwilk.com/944dme/ click on the AFM link on the right.
I have also two AFM, one is not bosch but FIC brand and one is my used bosch that i took out when i did my home made alpha-n conversion.

P.S. FRWilk isn't a nice guy so don't email him if you're not going to buy something cause you will never get an answer.

Thank you soo much. Grazie infinite. Forse meglio scrivo italiano.

Sorry all members . For italian speeach

another problem can occur, take out the ECU and turn it upside down to see if water comes out of it!!, a friend has a water leak but it poured into his ecu and was running erratically , took it out and turned it upside down and water came out!! otherwise go thru your ignition system..... if not, then mmmmm burrn the car and claim insurance then insurance pays you your squid in the back pocket for another car and sorted!! what you reckon??

12l/100km is quite normal for a 320is/M3 car.
100cv per liter = 5-6km/l in the city and 10-11 in the speedway.

I have here an italian magazine quattroruote which reports also a consumption of 3km/l for 320is when pushing hard, that is >20l/100km.

My email is pastelletto@libero.it if you want something.
I'm sorry to say but please don't write in italian casue is very difficult for me to understand.
Nice try indeed :D

Adesso voglio sapere da voi che avete l esperienza , se devo ancora qualcosa cambiare, tipo air flow meter o qulcosa altro. O mi andra bene senza toccare niente?
