Hello all,

I've been absent from this forum for a while - I have a good excuse - I got married late last year and moved from Staffs to Cotswolds. Here's a picture of Mrs Rochester and I:

Now on to the important stuff. I bought a set of leather seats in beige off ebay nearly a year ago. Now the dust has settled following major house move I have finally got around to fitting new seats. Here are the pics:

I have the old cloth seats going begging - free to good home - see for sale section.

Not much happened on car in past year. Fitted period radio cassette (Blaupunkt London SQM 37). New battery. No major problems, starts without complaint despite only going out about once or twice a week.

Here's the original thread for history of this car to date:

Glad you've reappeared, us 316 owners need to stick together!

Congratulations on the wedding, and I agree on the seats, they look great.

Hi Jim, Jimi, Dennis, Ronaldo Nice to see some familiar names on this forum too. I well remember your early sagas with a dodgy E21 Jim, you joined about the same time as me, and your many useful posts.

Ronaldo, yes, of course other improvements always in the pipeline, still need to upgrade suspension and have spare rear bumper waiting for fitting, and possibly a wholesale respray at some stage. I'll keep you posted.
