If we laugh are you going to get into a HUF?

Looks like a good project, keep us posted!

Thought I'd better update you on this .
The car came with the boot and back seat stuffed with spares :-
Had a good prod around and underneath the car,it's remarkably solid,makes a change from the air-cooled machinery I've tackled in the past!
Gave the inner arches a complete rub down with a wire brush in a grinder,then painted with anti-stonechip paint and finished with a couple of coats of gold smoothrite which is very similar to the body colour.
Needs a bit of attention to every panel,just small scratches & dings really,then it'll recieve a full respray.
I need to source 2 front wings and a front panel/valance ... any ideas at a reasonable cost?
As this is a 316 auto,it's never going to be a roadrocket so the plan is to give it the sort of resto-cal treatment normally found on Beetles etc
I think it'll look quite cool ridiculously slammed with period nik-naks on it,but that's me....
Talking of low,how low can you go?(Bass!

)
I saw Marks 323i at Knebworth (pleasure to meet you mate,sorry it was brief) and would like to go as low,if not lower...but without the negative rear camber,is this possible?
Don't know if you managed to get to see my Rover at Knebworth Mark,mine was the one full of blow-up sex toys :-
The concours judge was a tad baffled.

£200 well spent it would seem.
The tri-headlight look is an aquired taste though!

Are you going with twins or singles?
*dibs on the singles if you ever decide to get rid?*
I think you can make adjustments to rear subframe mounting to lose the negative camber when you drop the car a serious amount. I imagine Jason323 or Jimmy will know more?
Missed your Rover - sure I would have remembered your toys.

Sticking with single lights mate,just experimenting with different looks.
I like the look of negative camber (cal-look Beetles coming back to haunt me) but I would imagine it would cause uneven tyre wear?

Just means swapping sides once wear becomes evident.

I do,cheeky fecker!
It's different,more show than go and that's fine by me, too many points on my licence to go belting about everywhere now (getting old

)
It's going to get some Von-Dutch style hot rod pinstriping soon too.

You really need a crushed velvet purple suit and one of those big floppy hats!

joke coming............ no one get offended. (sorry i feel i have to point it out before hand nower days.)
i can only think of two reasons for the glitteryness.
you either want to attract hookers or magpies.
