breaking e30 325i auto

hi all,
have just aquired an e30 325i auto thats being broken up for parts, please let me know if you need anything, a few bits have gone already but if you dont ask you dont get, will update you more tomorrow with more info

hi all,
the car is a schwartz black four door auto with 146000 miles on the clock and good history, there are a fair few bits missing but if you would like anything please let me know and will let you know

does it have a diff some autos have for towing. if so what ratio is it?

yes it does have a diff, no idea of the ratio though as its still fitted to the car and really would not know where to look, but you are more than welcome to come and have a look

it bit akward to have a look as i am in ireland but thanks for the offer!!
on the back of the diff there shold be a metal tab on the top right hand corner above the speed sensor it sholud say the type of ratio on it ie. s3,46 or s3.25 and so on. also how many bolts holding the back plate on to the diff.

that is perfect if you jack up one rear side and leave it out of gear with hand break off. see if you can turn the wheels with one on ground.if you cannot it has a lsd if you can it is a open. it will save you having to crawl under it

hi all,
just had a look, there are two bolts holding the very back plate onto the diff, also, when you rotate one wheel, the other rotates in the opposite direction as its on axle stands already this was all i could do, the little metal plate i had to break off as had to wire brush it but it say 3,73 then an space then 842, hope this info helps

hi jim thanks for that. that is a 3.73 crown wheel and pinion but it is not a limited slip differential. thanks for looking it is very good of you. i will try the e30zone and seee how i fair out
