Just been away to Cornwall for awhile.

Image

While I was there I saw the 316 from ebay that has the gas conversion. It was purple, rotten and held together with cable ties.

Got this while I was down there for someone else.

Since I fitted a boot mounted sub the stereo in my car sounds way better. 8)

I had hoped my car would be going over to RPM this week to have the brakes fitted but it's going to be another couple of weeks. Hopefully, just after the Ace Cafe on the 8th May.

The list of jobs is getting longer.

1. Fit Volvo 4 pots
2. Fit Quick-rack
3. Polybushes all round including TCA bushes from Jason.
4. Alpina style front brace between ARB mounts.
5. Roller top mounts.

All that leaves are the cosmetics like dyeing the carpet and parcel shelf black which I'm dreading as it means stripping everything out at first light so that I can spray the dye and leave it to dry in the sunlight. Judging bu the results in Jimmy's car it should look really nice though.

I plan to use this one and use the spray guns you can refill yourself.

Dont spray it!! also jet wash your carpets to get the 30 year olddirt out or it wont give good results!!! ive tried it years ago and it just come off on to your hands when you rub it... i got hold of another carpet set and used fairy liquid and scrubbed the dirt then washed it off, let it dry, bear in mind i done this durinf summer so it was quick... the pour some dye in a pot and use paint brush to rub it it, it will take almost 5 liters to get it black as mine!

Dirty job.., get rid of the volvo calipers mark and fit Wilwoods thats the way to go!! the volvos are f*** heavy!!

The Volvo 4 pots cost me less than the Wilwood pads and I haven't got the cash for Wilwoods anyway mate. I could lose more weight by dieting anyway.

I'll do the carpet as you suggested once the Summer gets here properly.

Cheers guys. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before there's a decent write-up with a few of the excellent cars there are on this forum. :D
