E21 WITH S14 MOTOR
I will try and answer as much questions as I can for everyone. Here it goes, I bought the car from a lady a few months ago. Originally this car was built in the USA, and a local mechanic had it imported to Toronto and the previous owner bought it from them. She owned the car for the last 6 years, till I found it sitting in her underground garage. I already own an E21 but I could not pass up this opportunity to own another E21, especially with an S14 motor installed into it. The car was not running when I went to buy it, this made me feel a little nervous at first. After further examination with my brother though we figured out that the battery terminals were not looking too hot and there was a small coolant leak in one of the hoses. Out came the tools and with a little elbow grease we had the S14 "purring" again. Till this day I don't think the previous owner new what she was dealing with. The car had a complete Zender spoiler kit installed on it (Side-skirts, rear valance and rear spoiler). The front bumper spoiler is an Italian made unit. The ugly crash bumpers were removed in place of these spoilers. The car came with Sport Scheel seats, no A/C, centre console is the non A/C unit assembly, battery was moved to the trunk, dual core radiator was installed, Eibach springs and KYB gas shocks all around. It even has the E21 323i rear trailing arms with the disc brake set-up. The wheels are 15X7 TSW Hockenheim, fitted with wheel spacers. The S14 motor is in stock condition, with the exeption of the HKS air filter they had installed. My mechanic says the transmission is from a 5 series model, which he thinks is the 262 Getrag and the driveshaft is a customized E30 M3 unit. The people who built this E21 truely did an excellent job in my opinion. It's a great daily driver and can easily be used at any autocross session or track day.
I almost forgot to mention the condition of the motor. I had a compression and leak down test on the motor after I bought the car and the results came back 6% on all the cylinders. The motor needs a good tune-up and a new S50 timing chain tensioner and it will be screaming once again. Hope I answered your questions everyone, I will keep you posted on my E21's.
Thanks
Peter

Translation: Hi (Koumpare can not be exactly translated, but it has the meaning of something like buddy, mate etc). I am not a Cypriot, but I have a lot of good Cypriot friends!!!
Jimmy, as you have Greek roots, you should begin changing opinions on what kind of beverages should be combined with souvla meat...We have many many much better options in Greece and Cyprus, such as fantastic red wines, Red or white Retsina wine, Ouzo, Zhivania and other better options than beer...(I also like beer, but certainly not with souvla meat!!)
Cobbler, you are right...I meant the armrest above the handbrake-maybe I shouldn't have called this a console...
