A few more of my car -60mm

Post by pistonheader »

Got an email asking to get some pics of my E21 which has been lowered 60mm. so, just in case someone else wanted to know what it looks like after it's been lowered 60mm....i thought i'd start a thread.

comments more than welcome (it's not been cleaned for a little while, so don't comment if it's dirty  my car does live outside!)

sorry the pic quality isn't the best

note: those fluid drops under the car aren't from my car

 you are...dishy kinda guy eh? i believe they are from an E30 yes. well, they are offset ET24 so gonna run 10mm spacers (already got the longer bolts)

tyres...think i'm gonna go with falkens, they are £50 a corner. had them before on my last car, good mix of grip and durability. where mine is the daily driver i can't afford to get the softest compounds sadly!!

unless you can recommend any others? i'm going 195/50R15 on front, 195/55R15 on the rears

Going to look great with the 15" wheels. Great ride height front and rear with the 60mm drop.

I kind of regret I went for the 60/40 instead of 60/60...

Toyo T1R is a great and affordable tire - It's the one I use on all my cars.
But 195/50 is for girls - Go for the 205/50-15. Right size and best handling, IMHO

hmmm tempting at that price. do they last quite long? not much bhp and not much weight means my E21 isn't going to get through tyres too quick anyways.

don't suppose they'll be tooo much difference in rpm between those 2 either. from 80mph now, it would be 77.5mph so hardly a great deal really is it.

thanks for that rob!

edit: i've just noticed how much more expensive the same tyre is for a 195/55!!! it's over anther 50%!!!!
