my wing mirrors are faded like the top one in your pics above, i bought some tyre/trim gel, this is the result after applying it 1 week ago (and didn't them before which i should have)
really enhanced the look!!!

not cheap for 500ml or so, but you use such a small amount, i reckon i used about 15-20ml doing all 4 tyres, both wing mirrors, and the plastic on the front and rear bumpers. it will last a couple of years i think. really adds a bit more life to the cars look i reckon, better than faded out grey plastic.

It's actually buckled the wing along with the damage to the spoiler. That's partly why I'm so surprised the spoiler didn't just shatter or at least crack! They're obviously far stronger than I would have imagined.
It was a combination of a dip in the road and a high kerb but I guess that's why we have insurance.

No great drama. I'm more pissed off with myself for not watching what I was doing to be honest. As punishment the insurance approved bodyshop are leaving me with a bloody Skoda!
