1978 323I

Post by bimmer fans »

Brought this as a spare car for parts but turn out to be to good for spares and no document cause it was brought for parts, car was built in 1978 4 speed manual and one owner since new 45000 miles, leather interior and a/c but it was a non starter cause the last owner connect the battery in the wrong direction.

Don't know what to do now but if I can get the document for the car I will sell it to my friend and restore it, if not I will just use it as spares.

Nice car with lots of potential. I like the period touches like the rectangular driving lights. A couple of the guys here have them fitted and I think they look great. Leather is a bonus too! :D

Too good to break up for spares just because of a starting issue that can be fixed by a capable auto electrician! 8) Looking at the pics, the wiring looks like its been 'worked-on' before, so needs a good once-over. At worst it's some burnt-out wiring and maybe a new starter motor or alternator. Your call of course, but far too trivial a reason to me for breaking a car up.
