yeah it is the engine you sold me :)
havent got it up to temperature yet so im hoping that will be ok but im sure it will be.
still got same stupid idle problem so think it must be a carb that needs servicing.
have got some various throttle cables on order now so they should arrive soon and i can have a crack at driving the car

built the 2 rear wheels yesterday so will get the new shoes mounted and fit them :)

rear wheels fitted but buy does that arch sit fricking low onto the wheel, time to get the grinder out. will modificate the arches today and hopefully with lots of bens help get the front wheels fitted and the throttle cable all in place so she is pretty much ready to hit the road for RTTS,
then just gotta spray her

+1 on that 8)

how is it driving on those wheels? must have a fair bit of scrub radius on the front? you've got no power steering aye?

handles like a dream, because wheels are so wide the steering is super sensitive, desperatly need a quick rack now me thinks.
absoloutley now steeringwheel shake or juddering so its a really nice drive.
wheels scrub on inners on full lock but not enough to worry about and to be honest i found some rust in my footwell so might just tub it out to make room

dampers are well and truely wrecked on the front so suspension will be my next major challange again now and as my gold/green 323 has arrived i can start work on that.

unfortunatly the engine in the car is drinking water like a whore and there is lots o creamy goodness now but we will see if she survives. cant be arsed to do another engine change before the TSi engine. engine pulled a bit better lower down but the old engine used to rev out a lot better. undecided if i could tell the difference that much though.

Sorting out iPhone photos and came across this one of you working on the engine on a shelf surrounded by booze in the warehouse. Don't know if you want it so...(love the dog pic)
