as you may know, i am doing a fair amount of body work to my car. i have come to a question that i need your help with. i am thinking of removing the trim that runs at the midline. it was the wife's idea and i think it may look good. this is where y'all come in

well you will have to have the holes welded up and that could sway your decision there mate.

welding the holes really isn't much of an issue. i have already welded some holes up on the body. im just looking for a push one way or another

Try and find a pic where someone else has deleted the trim or try photoshop. It would be a pain to do the work and then realize you prefer the look with it in place.

Hi,

Thought about it once too, I also wanted to lose the frontbumper in the same proces. Personally i think it looks more agressive without the frontbumper a

No bumpers no trim FTW, especially if they are US spec monster bumpers!

I wouldn't bother welding the trim holes as they are in the middle of a large sheet of steel and I would be worried about distortion. I use body filler pushed in from the back and smoothed from the front, very quick and easy to do. I did weld up the rear bumper holes though.

Removing the front bumper is as easy as unbolting it and finding a new place for the front plate, which might not be such a big deal in the US.
