Track-day was awesome.

Managed to stay on black stuff. My car never missed a beat all day. Hopefully, I'll have some photos soon.

No PAS & quick-rack was a bit of a work out for my arms but absolutely love the way the steering feels!

Best laps were with the instructor egging me on. 8) Best £40 worth of fun you can get. Knackered now so going to bed. Will write up tomoro and upload incar video if it came out OK?

Hope to do the Siverstone event in early October. Anyone else up for it?

Jason323 had some racks made but the ''wonder bar'' is a modification that is easy to do. I think Alpina did it first? It's a bar that bolts on between the front ARB mounts and braces the front end. It helps rid the e21 of the shimmy it's known for. I'll try and take a photo later.

Here you can see where it bolts on and runs across front of chassis and acts as a brace.

Looks easy enough to make. Do you have any diagrams with measurements etc.?

It stops the shimmy e21's often get at around 50 to 55 mph. I combined mine with other mods so I can't say exactly how much is down to the wonder bar.

You only have to look at what it does to realise that there is bound to be some benefit from bracing that part of the chassis. It's such a cheap & easy mod to make too. I can't see Alpina bothering with it if it didn't help matters either.
