e30 seats in e21

will e30 seats fit straight in e21, if not can i bolt the e21 runners onto the e30 seats? thanks .

If you read around the forum, you will find it is not a straight fit. It will require some welding, but it can be done.

e30 seats can go straight in if you make a couple of spacers for each seat as the mountings are higher
on one side in the e21. but they will be a little too high up if your a tallish person.
or you can fit the e21 rails onto them for a perfect fit
rear bench base fits perfectly,with the back upright you will have small gaps at each end.

thanks, so the width is the same and i will be able to use same bolt holes when using the e30 runners? Andy

yep width is the same but youl need two lengths of tubing about two inches high
to act as spacers as the e21 mounts are lower on the outsides
the bolt holes match up perfectly but youl need longer bolts on one side on each seat
