Post by tommi_e21 »

just so im clear

i need to order my copper tube and fittings to do some brake pipe repairs on my car, i have the flaring tool and cutter just need to get the bits

what size unions do i need???

i would just invest in some long stainless ones but it exceeds my budjet for the car then

I used the M10 x 1.0 unions and (3/16)'' copper pipe on my car. Rallydesign have all the bits.

thanks buddy, most motor factors stock the bits at a lot cheaper than Rallydesign so will try there first

no worries, in the end i managed to use the existing pipe which i broke in the caliper and then flared that and crushed it into place.

the rear nipples are siezed in place but dont really need bleeding. i know this isnt exactly the best situation but now that i have driven and bed the brakes in again it all seems to work ok so think i managed to get away with a bit of luck with that one :)
