m20b23= 2.5?

Post by stevo »

Hi guys,

So the engine on the 323 I am breaking has apparantly been upped to 2.5ish. But i sthe original Block so hasnt had an M20b25 conversion.

The previous owner had no idea how it had been done but was sure something had been done and on the log book it says 2490cc or something similar.

I have measured the bores and the are standard size, 80mm, so the only other option would be to change the crank, rods, and/pistons.
The pistons have little valve recesses on the top if that helps anyone

Does any one know of a cnversion that wouls achieve this?

To me it seems pointless why anyone would go to the trouble to do this instead of dropping in an e30 2.5 but you never know, and would be odd to change the log book as well.

I ask as I'm about to scrap the engine but dont wana get rid of any bits that might be useful to someone.

Thanks

Steve
