has anyone ever put a e28 M5 engine in....

Hi all,

has anyone ever put a E28 M5 engine and gearbox in a E21?

If so is it a easyish job? are there any clearance issues with the exhaust manifold around the brake linkage and steering rack?

will the sump hang too low and need to be modified?

See in some us cars but a few people here have m30 conversion same engine mounts box etc so yes I can be done it is a tight fit and fritz will want £750 at least for a manifold

all my mate think im in cookoo land wanting to put this in

i have a 316 at the min, i have done loads of engine conversions over the years but never one on a bmw.

any engine will fit any car................... just a matter of time, money, and beer
