tyre pressure?

Can anyone tell me which are the limits (max-min) between which may one "play" with pressures for my 316?
I mean there is a plot there, from the producer, suggesting the right pressures, but this goes for tyres 165-13 or 185/70-13...(for the 13"x5.5" steel wheels from factory). What should I do now with 15"x7" with 195/55-15 tyres?
I want to test different pressures in order to feel the car a bit lighter to the rear (for obvious reasons!!!), to feel the steering wheel a bit lighter as well etc. But I am afraid of going too high on pressure which wouldn't be good, would it?

I run about 30psi on my 195/50/15's (Toyo R888) when on the road. and on cicuit drop the pressures cold so they're at ~31psi hot.

The owners manual list prerssures between 27 and 36 psi (cold), so you should be good in that range. We've got 205/55/15s and I use 36 hot for road, 32 hot for track. In our track tyres, I use 28 hot front and 26 hot rear.

BMW say the hot pressure is 4 psi higher than the cold.

So it's probably not a mistake if I use 34 front and something around 32-33 rear?
34 front makes the steering wheel so much lighter that I don't miss power steering...
and about the rear...you understand...

(as about the stiffness-if anyone has seen in another thread that I wanted to make it a bit smoother etc...I don't see big difference in that from 30-32 psi to 34 psi, so this is going to change only by replacing the 15"s by 14" IMO, I thing the problem's caused because of the light motor my car has, it doesn't actually need 15"s)

i run 46psi on the rear and about 40 psi on the front

but im running 215's on a 10.5j rim.

and im stupid aswell

had to run 50psi on the steels to stop the tyres falling off mwah ha ha ha ha

when i used to work for dominos though i safley ran 40psi allday long to get better fuel economy and make more money.

I've run 36-34 front to rear as I do a lot of motorway miles. When the crappy weather comes, I usually drop them down to 34-32 or 32-30. I've even dropped the driving wheels (I've got FWD and RWD cars) to 20 or even 15psi if I'm caught out in snowy weather, as traffic rapidly compacts fresh snow and it's as bad as ice.
That's on 13, 14, or 15 inch wheels with tyres ranging from 50 to 70 aspect.
