No dash lights....316

Hi,
The dash lights dont work on the old 316, checked the fuse but seems good. Would of said maby a dead bulb but the whole dash inc the heater controls etc are also dead
Any common faults that i should ava look at?

have you tried turning the light switch clockwise?

light switch is a dimmer switch too. :wink:

ahhhh i see ill ava look, sorry if i seem a tad simple im just so used to VW electrics that the bmw is a whole new retro for me lol

If that dont work check the fuses

I thought I had the same problem when I first got mine. Took me about a week to figure out. :oops:

Hi guys
Tried the old knob turn but nothing has yet come on... the digital clock resets itself everytime i start the car and the full beam light (assume its a blue light) also doesnt work...?

Ohh and neither does the water temp lol
any ideas?

Fuses? Even if they're not blown, check the contact isn't corroded as this happens every few months unless you can source good quality brass or copper bullet fuses?

yea defo fuses if not take the panel off under the clocks make sure the wires are plugged in properly.
