Lancaster were cheapest for me.
Re: please recommend an insurance company
performance direct are very good, they didnt even bat an eyelid at my modifications - fairly cheap too i think on a stock car its 150 and on a fully modified one its £250. I am a little younger than you though and live in car crime capital.

I'm with Adrian Flux. I am 38 with a company car (so no no claims) and 2 claims with 6 points. Fully comp with a 5000 mileage restriction is £106 a year. You also get a discount if you tell them that you are part of this forum.

Re: please recommend an insurance company
My cheapest quote was 1850 with Adrian flux !
Re: please recommend an insurance company
Background info: 25, 4yrs NCB, no accidents/points/convictions/illnesses, very good neighbourhood etc etc
I've been with Flux for years but I've recently had to cancel my policy which I'm not best pleased about. I've was insured with them on my E30 318is for £380 but I decided to sell it, I have a few vehicles laying around that I thought I'd transfer my policy onto and they just gave me stupid and stupider quotes until I had to cancel.
BMW E30 325i touring: £1300
BMW E30 318i cab: £1100
BMW E32 735i: £1400!!
I cancelled my policy, losing my 7 months or so of my 5th year NCB and getting £3.92 for the remainder of 5 months insurance!! What a f'king joke. I feel quite annoyed about the whole situation, especially as I have paid probably in excess of £2500 of insurance to flux over the years.
I started working on getting insured on my E32 735i manual (the black one) and phoned around and got £700 down to £325, all mods declared. That's more like it!! That's with Graham Sykes.
Other insurance companies I've had luck with in the past:
Lancaster (currently insuring my white E32 735i auto)
Heritage (a drjim recommendation, cheap for limited mileage)
I've seen other people recommend:
Keith Michaels
Brent Acre
Sky (go on E30zone as they are sponser them and give you extra discount)
Performance Direct

Re: please recommend an insurance company
I used the broker Lancaster & the policy is underwritten by Alianz, The policy came in at £135 p/a(classic), 3000 miles, agreed value £7500 . I told them of the wheel/brake/suspension upgrade they said it didnt make a difference but wanted photos...
