dogleg noise in first gear
My dogleg transmission makes a whirring noise in first gear, much like other cars make in reverse. Does the dogleg have straight cut first gears, or does my transmission have a problem? 130k miles, fresh redline mtl synthetic fluid.

Sounds like first gear is on the way out
time for a rebuild, about £400-£500 in the uk
