Fuel filter on 320/6 - servicing
Will my 320/6 have one of those little see through filters with the carb, or is the filter just the mesh on the fuel tank transmitter and in the fuel pump housing ? Im reading conflicting things from haynes and eurocar/ebay.
Im gonna fit that webber and give it a nice servicing before. I could probably do with changing the timing belt too. Would it be a good idea to buy a kit from euro for 43 quid ? Ta

Speak to Murran, he got a timing bellt etc for my Baur at a cracking price. I think you will have an inline plastic filter jobbie.

£43? bloody hell.
got the bits for jims @ trade from gsf.... the cam belts about £10 and the roller is about £8!
if you cant find a little plastic see thru "jobbie" then just get one and chop an inch out of the feed line under the bonnet somewhere logical and fit it in there.

I cant find one anywhere so will have to i guess.
Could you get hold of a timing belt kit cheap for me mate ? Back in Wakey now so sorting the money out and getting it would be easy enough. I work in Sheff quite a bit anyway. I was even behind you in rush hour a few weeks back. Gave you the thumbs up but think you were too busy drinking your stella and smoking a bifta

My timing belt and water pump was fitted by Murran while I located exhaust studs/bits and messed about with the wrong manifolds etc. Happy to provide a reference!

Re: Fuel filter on 320/6 - servicing
Whatever would be easiest for you mate. Ive just got my carb through right this second and its sitting next to me having a coffee. Im going to try and get it on Sunday weather permitting.
Its gonna be a while until i can get the car back on the road as it still needs tax and mot. I could really do with resolving the long running issue of my sunroof leaking too before i can drive it properly. I know where your garage is so i can nip round with some money for you one day no probs and get all the parts together. As for fitting it all, is it a job you could do in someones garden?? Prob be after crimbo by the time its all ready to go anyway. Would be greatly appreciated and some brass in it for you mate, cheers

Nice one, id really appreciate it. If you could show me how to do it id have a go myself next time too.
Just looking at this carb i got through. All the numbers on the box are for the DGMS but im pretty sure I have the DGAS. There's no mechanism on the side for the manual choke cable to go, its just got what looks like the water activated choke housing from the solex with an inlet and outlet. Mmmmm
