Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
They've gone up! The street ones were £495

If there were a few people wanting them I could ask for a group-buy discount but that's about all I can suggest mate. I'm just glad I got my Golds when I did!

That's what I said, not just a bit either.
H&R's it is or Jasons recommendation of W&N progressive springs.

Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
I'd go with the progressive springs mate. In fact, that's what I have got. TWR used the B6 Bilsteins with Eibach progressive springs but I don't know the exact rates they used? I have mailed them to ask for details but not had a reply yet.

Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
As soon as I hear back I'll post it here.
Does anyone know if there's any weight difference between a 2.8 engine and a 3.5 at 143kg's?

Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
They're E12.
All I'm thinking is that the B6 rates would still be ideal for a 3.5 conversion if there's no difference in weight from the 2.8.
Are you moving your battery to the boot? I know that Alpina & TWR both kept it under the bonnet but I'm just thinking what could be done to lose the extra 26kg's up front?
The Whiteline ARB's made a big difference too but not exactly cheap.

Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
Have you lost your ARB since putting on the Coilovers?
I'll see how much I have left in the pot after selling out on the Fritz manifolds FAP

Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
Nope, I have the coilovers & ARB's fitted.
The exhaust & manifold has cost about a grand in total but there's no way round it I guess. I needed to get it made but its a good investment I guess. Mind you, it's not the cars value that's been my motivation.

Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
they have increased price I think rav, when I bought mine jimmy said they were having to increase the price. £600 is still a good price, the billies I'm not really a fan f used to have a set on the rx7 they were crap.

Re: Gaz or Bilsteins??
I had Bilsteins on both of my Mk2 RS2000's and they were great. Way better than the Spax efforts they replaced anyway. Always heard good things about them when used on BMW's too.
