An M20 Conrod Mystery

Finally got a chance to swap out my oil pump in my 323i it's all going well, but it's uncovered a small mystery.
The sump has obviously been off before, the big end caps are the same as the ones in the right-hand diagram and look almost new in comparison with the rest of the bottom end (130k miles). The bolts are the Torx type (as you'd see on an E30) whereas the rest of the bolts in the bottom are normal hex head. The big end caps are also stamped 'B6', is this correct for the car, or are they newer? Any info would be appreciated.
